You may be the Community Manager we're looking for! The Massachusetts Network of Foster Care Alumni is an organization that creates community and opportunity for current and former foster youth through education, employment service and leadership. This internship is a social platform communications role, incorporating online tools and in-person networking to create relationships and ultimately build our organization's brand, both online and off.

A Resource Community Manager's role and responsibilities for MassNFCA include:

Content Creation - Research programs and organizations in the areas of Education, Employment, Housing, Parenting, Financial Literacy, Legal and Health among other categories for Alumni of All Ages

Follow up with existing organizations in online Resource database to ensure the description of services provided is clearly understood

Maintain accurate information on Resource Database

Outreach and communication with existing resources/programs and potential Resources - including follow up

Refine sub-groupings of resources within original category framework as well as appropriate hashtags and categorization for optimized search

Website - Enter information on each resource into the MassNFCA Website through admin portal. Work with Project Director to Portray each resource as visually engaging as possible to truly make this a 'one stop shop' resource for Foster Care Alumni

Customer Relations – Work with the Project Director to manage user support– answering questions received through MassNFCA Connect. Respond to users who write resource reviews and to anyone making an inquiry about our resource database through (phone, e-mail)

Analytics – Using Google Analytics and other measurement tools to provide reports on metrics, and continually find ways to improve on those metrics through testing and new initiatives

Commitment:

Hours per week: 15 flexible hours that do not have to be held strictly during 9-5 business hours.

Ideal candidate: 1st or 2nd year Macro Social Work MSW Candidate or a Human Services Major

Compensation: Unpaid

Location: With the exception of a few in person meetings most work can be completed remotely
